Does it really matter how we got here?
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
That's the question we are all asking ourselves.
Keep in mind we collectively have been at this point in our society in past history.
There are many kinds of challenges presented to the inhabitants of the world over our rather short history.
One constant is evident. When we are presented with a major challenge, be it financial or otherwise, we have always benefited in one way or another.
As human beings we have the ability to overcome adversity when necessary.
Our leaders have at times let us down because of greed, malice and just downright stupidity.
We as individuals can respond with strength and determination and overcome our circumstances.
What is needed is the confidence and the will to find the way best for us to succeed by making adjustments that result in improving our life, by learning from our mistakes.
What is really needed is for us to individually take responsibility for the condition in which we find ourselves.
When we stop blaming others and shoulder our share of the blame for society's financial problems we start to regain control. We read everyday how our present financial problems are created by others. That indicates we are helpless. That is simply not true.
Thus the answer to overcome the paralysis of self-doubt is to do our part in taking control of the situation by taking action and making changes that take us back to assuming control of our condition.
Those of us that have had major financial losses in the past few months can start again. One of the major reasons for all of this is unrealistic expectations.
We must look inside ourselves and adjust our expectations and rebuild our lives in a realistic way.
A well known economist said the worst is yet to come.
That's only if we do nothing. Remember, we've been here before and overcome much greater challenges to our collective welfare. Every thing you do to improve yourself and the ones you love will bare fruit.
This is the most progressive society in history for we collectively learn, retrain and retrench when conditions dictate. Be sure you participate in politics. Refuse to be led by fools who appeal to greed. Trust yourself and your basic intelligence and most of all keep faith in what and who you believe in. You can and will affect your condition so don't give up to those who say you are helpless. It is a fact that changes in our society are going to continue. Industries will change, jobs will disappear and new jobs will be created. It is a fact that we will change our careers and jobs many times during our lifetime. This condition presents us with opportunity to grow personally and financially.
Retool, retrain, start growing again and become optimistic. Don't let self-doubt deter you from making changes that result in personal growth.
