Taking Control - The method for "Self Management"
Build your self-esteem by programming yourself rather than letting others do it for you. Write personal affirmations on small cards and place them where you will see them every day. You are getting better every day in every way so tell yourself that every day. Each affirmation is confirmation of the truth. It's the repetition that reconfirms those positive attitudes toward yourself. We all need support, so support yourself. Remember to exercise positive self-talk be sure to pat yourself on the back with very victory no matter how small. This can build your self esteem and over time will result in you not only being a self confident person but more importantly you will adopt the body language and appearance of a confident positive person. Reward yourself, even in small ways, have that dessert you have done without, buy that scarf you want, take a day off or call someone you miss. The fact is that we are all motivated by benefit, be sure demonstrate results and rewards for becoming a more managed person. Your greatest reward will be in how others will react to your positive personality, for people warm to positive outgoing people.
Recognize negative programming, don't allow others to tell you that you can't accomplish what you want, you can quit smoking, you can diet successfully and you can open yourself up to great possibilities of personal accomplishments.
