The information Age is born

New methods were needed to create and manage information and the wealth that resulted from its control and distribution.   Information differs from commodities such as oil, coal, gold & minerals spices, foodstuffs and consumer goods.   These solid goods are easily controlled by the ownership and management of distribution.   Once companies and organizations amass capital thus ownership then acquired distribution networks such as railroads, shipping airlines and trucking.   The political system put laws into place that protected commerce and to some degree, it's workers.

The old rules are out

When the information age was born, the old rules that had controlled commerce went out the window and for the first time since the industrial revolution an individual could invent, produce and control information management systems.   It started with the movie theaters, which became movie studios such as MGM, 20-Century Fox, United Artists.   Hollywood be came in fact an efficient and effective communication method to reach people and distribute information and lifestyles, morals and ideas.   In fact just about anything you wanted sold.

The emergence of Intellectual property

Intellectual property became the actual power behind the production of wealth.   Individuals, who founded the movie studios, radio stations newspapers and television stations through their efforts began influencing decisions, opinions and the mindset of society.   Now things changed dramatically and moved at ever increasing speed no longer influenced by commodities but, in fact influenced the distribution of commodities and ideas the resultant creation of wealth.
