Preparation, "Where the value is"
(Page Two)

Real Value - A change in perception

Your perception of value is usually based on reward or positive feedback from the "audience".   The concept of personal reward is how you view the result of the task; thus the first reward or outcome is from within.   When you change your perception of value or reward, in fact the greatest value in precedes the event its self.   The personal feedback that results from careful and extensive preparation results in a major boost to self-confidence.   All during preparation, important positive self-talk programs you for success.   With the understanding of how self - conditioning the concept of programming of yourself for success is an establish method of preparation for any activity, physical or mental.   Once you have altered the value you place on preparation you will have started a new discipline in regards to any task you may have.   It has been long accepted that in many fields the preparation phase has been where the overachiever really sets themselves up to acquire the desired result of a near perfect performance.

Programming yourself for success

As we have learned from the super athletes in golf, track & field, swimming and many team sports, part of their training involves visualization.   Golfers are told to practice visualizing their swing then the contact with the ball then the actual successful result.   The concept of realistic preparation is accepted by the military.   Napoleon planned all his battles in his mind before putting on paper.   The Desert Storm military campaign was conceptualized before laid out on paper by the Pentagon.   In fact there is a military college that teaches this method to America's Generals to this day.   The direct effect of using correct, intensive and complete preparation techniques is to create the event and a successful outcome before the real event takes place.   As a result you program you're subconscious that success is not only possible but is imminent.   Allowing yourself to think that anything other than a positive outcome is possible can result in hesitation or second guessing which deprograms your positive state of mind and can reduce your chances of successful outcomes.
